- The reporter introduced the methods of sampling jitter measurement in digital audio equipments: the traditional method in the frequency-domain and the recent measurement technique in the time-domain using Hilbert transformation with high precision.

- The outline of 123th AES Convention held in New York was reported by Takahiko Yamamoto of Tac System and Kazutsugu Uchimura of NHK. Yamamoto focused on new equipment displayed in the exhibition, while Uchimura reported from the viewpoint of contents production. Many questions were raised from participants, and active and fruitful discussions were made.

- A mechanism of auditory space perception, especially localization of a sound image, was reviewed in connection with the head-related transfer function. A principle and applications of the auditory display system that presents sound images at arbitrary locations were explained together with future developments.

Introduction of new studio facilities in Dimagic Sound Plant

Report
A new post-production studio of Dimagic Co. Ltd. which started its operation from November 2007 was introduced with technical tour of studios and facilities, including the control room for multichannel sound production equipped with custom-made monitor loudspeakers, foley-studio and so on. Design concept of the whole facilities was also explained by the presenter as well as by the acoustician who was in charge. Lot of participants were gathered and active discussion was made. Many of them also enjoyed the year-end party held after the meeting.
